Better than nothing right?
Salam alayk everyone :)
Someone told me something today that I'd like to share with all of you. Take a look at this;
"It's either you work for Allah or you work for satan."
Do you get what it means? Well, we should always do something for the sake of Allah and certainly when it's for Allah that means we wouldn't be doing something worthless right? So, if you're doing something and somehow you just can't relate it to Allah meaning you are not doing something for His sake, that may just mean you are doing it for satan! Naudzubillah.... we must be careful. Do you want to do something for the sake of satan? NO!
Also one more thing;
"If you're not doing something good, you're doing a bad thing."
Aha! What about that? You see, being bad doesn't just mean doing something bad only but not doing good is also a bad thing! WE CANNOT STOP DOING GOOD. okay?
Alright then, that's it for now. I know this is short but I do hope it goes a long way. Go tell everyone! :D ngee~ Peace be upon you :)

ReplyDeleteI'd have to disagree on that. There are grey areas that I can't explain in details. Things cannot just be black and white.
ahaa...I'd say it's more of doing a bad thing to yourself really. Coz, there isn't much time in this world and to not take every opportunity there is to do good would be... how to say...menzalimi diri sendiri kinda of thing? Get it? And not only that, doing something good has a very wide scope. I'd say, it's quite difficult for a person to not do good at all. Just fulfilling your body's needs is doing good. Even sleeping or resting coz that's sunnatullah. We must do it coz we're human. Many other things too that we may let pass by without noticing that we're doing good.

the bad thing refers to the act of not doing good. Not saying that the particular thing you are doing is the one that's bad. It's the not doing good that's bad. Get it? Coz not doing good is such a waste.
As for things we do, yes you're right...many grey areas in between. It can't just be black and white. That is where we must use our hearts to know what is best to do.

Aaa.. I get you. It's a matter of ambiguous meaning where the phrase can be translated both ways. Do you see what I see?
